An uplifting nationwide campaign, “Who Taught You” aims to rekindle the nation’s respect for educators. By encouraging people from all walks of life to recall and share anecdotes about influential teachers, this campaign seeks to elevate the profession that lays the foundation for all others, inspiring a resurgence of recognition and respect for these transformative individuals. This campaign is a pre-cursor to the I QUIT docuseries. Both seek to bring attention to the educator shortage from different angles.

THE PROBLEM

Increasing disrespect and villainization, low pay, and unsustainable working conditions are driving an exodus of impactful educators leaving schools all together.

We’re living at a time in which kids are not guaranteed a teacher in every classroom, let alone a life-changing educator.

The path to full-scale institutional change overwhelming, making the problem easy to ignore. However, everyone can play a part in increasing the level of respect our society has for educators. By simply sharing a story of an impactful educator, we can collectively begin to realize the importance they play in a functioning democracy.

By 2025 it's estimated that the supply of teachers will meet less than 60% of the demand.

ONE SOLUTION

By engaging audiences on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn, individuals are asked to contribute their own stories of transformational teachers.
